This utility makes an exact replica of files on a machine via the network to another machine. It was designed for load-sharing situations where all the servers need to have a copy of all the files, but can also be used for other situations, for example to publish files from a development machine to a production machine, or to have a backup server standing by that can immediately take over without first having to restore from a backup. The utility uses it's own protocol on TCP/IP port 9577 and is totally independent, you don't need things like an FTP server or Microsoft Networking (disk sharing). Traffic is one-way only, files are only sent from the master to the slave. The program uses passwords (challenge/response) to protect the access and an MD5 hash to make sure the files on the slave are exactly the same as on the master.

http://www.kessels.com/SyncServer/index.html

IIS Log Parser 1.0

Analyze IIS log files with this free tool, get the most used statistics of your site. XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP and Perl, it's very easy to install and to use - just download, extract and start. The philosophy behind XAMPP is to build an easy to install distribution for developers to get into the world of Apache. To make it convenient for developers XAMPP is configured with all features turned on. (The default configuration is not good from a securtiy point of view and it's not secure enough for a production environment.) To check that XAMPP is working, some sample programs are included, there is a small CD collection program (written in PHP using MySQL) and a small guest book software (written in Perl) and several other demonstration utilities.

http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

ThreadMaster 1.12.181

ThreadMaster is an application based CPU Quota management tool that monitors threads and handles high CPU utilization on a per application basis. More than one mailbox? Don't worry, SpamPal supports multiple POP3 servers, APOP authentication, can filter IMAP4 mailboxes and can even protect an SMTP connection! Extend SpamPal with third-party Plug-ins such as Bayesian filters.
*Eugene's Pick!
N.B. this program is still in beta but is close to first release, any problems need to be reported properly so please read up on it before downloading.

http://www.spampal.org/

SPAMfighter 4.7

SPAMfighter is a free plug-in for Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, that automatically and efficiently blocks spam. Tracks your progress: it saves a log file every day, showing words per file and the total. Saves automatic backups at user-specified intervals. Allows multiple scenes within chapters. A signature is a small piece of text, automatically attached to every email message or newsgroup posting. It typically includes a random quote — a so-called tagline (a sample tagline file is included with the program).

For some strange reason, programmers have always been writing programs to automate creating email signatures. I have no idea why, but it's something of a tradition. Usually, signature managers simply go through a list of taglines, select one at random, and append it to outgoing messages, so that your signature is always different and never boring. KookieJar does that too, but it can do a lot more.

Typically, KookieJar starts automatically with Windows, lives in the tray (an icon is placed next to the system clock in the lower right-hand corner of the screen), chooses a new random tagline at a predefined interval, e.g. every 5 minutes, and stores it in your .sig file. Apart from this, KookieJar can place many other pieces of information in your signature. To define the layout of your signature and tell the program what to include in it, you create a special template (sample included).

http://sourceforge.net/projects/kookiejar/

http://www.tranglos.com/free/files/kj6setup.exe

Oubliette

Oubliette: Store passwords, PINs, and other sensitive information in a highly secure manner. Open source.
Introduction to Oubliette

Yes, there are many freeware and shareware password databases around... and this is one of them. I wrote it for the same old reason and I wrote all the other programs here: the available applications, though some are very fine, did not do quite what I needed. There was always a feature missing or an interface quirk. So here is Oubliette, more functional, easier to use and no less secure than any competing products. I hope you'll enjoy using it.

It will store a list of accounts with information such as account name, associated password, URL, and free-form notes. You can easily access the information, copy to clipboard or export to a variety of formats. There is a powerful search facility with filtered output (i.e. view only the records that satisfy your search criteria). You can also filter by categories that you assign to accounts when you create or edit them. Oubliette offers a number of ways to transfer account names and passwords to the browser: via the clipboard, through drag-and-drop, or by automated form filling.

Important note about security
Oubliette uses secure, mathematically strong ciphers to protect your data against unauthorized access. A typical use for a password manager is to store passwords, credit card numbers, and other small, secret pieces of information. This relieves you from having to remember all those passwords, at the cost of having to remember just one: the password used to access your Oubliette file. Do not lose the main access password. It will not be possible to open the file and access your data without the correct, original password. Please consider this very seriously.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/oubliette/

VisitURL

VisitURL is not a fully-fledged bookmark manager. It is not a replacement for Netscape's bookmark file or Internet Explorer's Favorites. It does not organize bookmarks into categories.

VisitURL is designed to help maintain a handy (as in: at hand) list of URLs that you intend to visit. For instance, if a friend sends you an email recommending that a particular URL, Visit is a good place to store the URL until you are ready to launch your browser and go surfing. If you copy the URL to clipboard, Visit will automatically intercept it and save to its database. If you copy several URLs at once, Visit will get all of them. (You may also add URLs manually or directly from an open browser window.) If you copy the URL with some text around it, Visit will optionally treat that text as a description for the URL you copied.

To access the bookmarked site, you can either view the HTML page that Visit creates in your browser, or click a toolbar button to launch the browser directly from Visit. There is no limit to how many URLs you may store, though the program is primarily designed to hold, view and edit a short, temporary list. Netscape and Explorer tend to consume so much system resources that it's not practical to keep them loaded at all times - this is where Visit comes in.

http://www.tranglos.com/free/files/visit.zip

GUIDClean

GUIDClean: Remove or randomize privacy-breaching Global Unique identifiers in MS Office documents.
GUIDClean is a program to detect, display and modify the Global Unique Identifiers

(GUID) that some MS Office products (Word and Excel) place in documents. An argument can be made that these GUID strings are a breach of users' privacy and may be used to track documents and bind them to particular users or particular machines. As author of GUIDClean I make no such arguments: I simply provide you with a free program which you can use to view and/or change the GUID information in your documents.

To install the program, simply unpack the archive and copy all files to a directory of your choice. There is no special installation or de-installation procedure. The task that InjectURL performs is automatically adding ("injecting") the URLs into HTML and plain-text documents you have downloaded and saved, using the browser's "Save As..." feature.
